Lemonade Day: It’s going to be huge

Dear Editor:

We couldn’t be more excited for Lemonade Day in Aspen and the Roaring Fork Valley on Saturday. With more than 330 children registered for this fun, free program that teaches children how to own and operate their own businesses, we want to encourage you to stop and buy a cup of lemonade when you see a stand. There will be many different recipes to try, and with all the hard work, planning and creativity, we hope you will be inspired to support our valley’s budding entrepreneurs on Saturday!

Sound like a fun summer activity to do with your child? It’s not too late to sign up! Visit us at aspen.lemonadeday.org to register and pick up your free backpack with materials at Alpine Bank (Aspen, Basalt, Carbondale and Glenwood locations).

In addition, join us at the Aspen Ideas Block Party at Rio Grande Park from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday to learn about Lemonade Day as part of the theme of “Raising the 21st-Century Child.” Admission is free, and participants will host a “trade show for ideas” along with prominent thought leaders.

We hope to see you on Lemonade Day!
