Leftover Salmon keyboardist arrested on assault charge

EAGLE COUNTY ” The keyboardist with Colorado jam band Leftover Salmon was arrested Tuesday for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman after a party, according to the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrested William McKay, 39, at his home in Denver and charged him with alleged sexual assault.
Shannon Cordingly, spokeswoman for the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office, identified him as a member of the well-known Colorado band Leftover Salmon, as well as the Bill McKay Band, which played at Rick and Kelly’s American Bistro at the Riverwalk in Edwards, Colo. on New Year’s Eve.
McKay plays organ and piano and sings with both bands.
The sheriff’s office said a woman called the office on Jan. 9 claiming she was drugged and sexually assaulted by McKay after a New Year’s Eve party at an Edwards home.
McKay is being in the Eagle County Detention Facility on a no-hold bond.
