Learn more about the future of education

Dear Editor:

Tax increases from the recent election have caused some members in the community to question the increasing cost of education in our public school system. According to recent test score comparisons of academic achievement, our school district sits in the middle of a state that sits in the middle of a nation, that is pretty much in the middle of the world.

If we want to change the mediocrity of our educational standing we need to see what alternatives to traditional school exist in our valley. Colorado Mountain College will be presenting a two-hour workshop From Home School to Public School from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Nov. 8 at Aspen Glen. Alternatives throughout the valley will be explored. For further information please contact Mary Clement at 947-8447

Anyone interested in the future of education in our community may want to attend this class.
