Leadership Aspen graduates 24

Aspen Times Staff Report

Twenty-four people graduated recently from a nine-month training course conducted by Leadership Aspen.

The graduates included several directors of nonprofit organizations, a college dean, bank vice-president, two lawyers, several planners, a Latino outreach director, newspaper editor, hotel managers, company owners, school principal, construction manager, rancher/architect and a variety of staff members.

The leadership training sessions were directed by nationally recognized presenters who met the first Friday of every month. Participants took part in daylong sessions on leadership styles, facilitative leadership, collaborative processes, negotiation methods, presentation skills, cultural competence, board responsibilities, and leading organizational change.

Applications are now being accepted for the Class of 1999-2000. The first round of interviews will begin June 1, and continue throughout June and July.

Anyone interested in participating in the program should call 963-9244 for an application and further information.
