Last chance for the Aspen/Snowmass Classic Pass

ASPEN – The Aspen Skiing Co.’s final Classic Pass sale will be held this weekend in El Jebel at the Four-Mountain Sports Outlet Store, next to City Market.
Hours will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Those who had Classic Passes last ski season can renew them by phone (923-1227) or by visiting http://www.aspensnowmass.com/classicpass. Everyone else must buy the pass in person. The deadline is Sunday.
Geared toward the more casual skiers and riders, Classic Passes entitle holders to either four or seven days of skiing or riding on Skico’s four local mountains.
Costs are as follows:
• Adult four-day – $199
• Adult seven-day – $329
• Child/youth four-day – $164
• Child-youth seven-day – $249
• College four-day – $164
• College seven-day – $249
Insurance options are also available. Classic Pass holders can also add days, starting at $49 per ski visit. Holders also get discounted rates for summer lift access and bike-haul fees.
Aspen City Council considers additional increases to food tax refund
Just as everyone was getting used to the $15 increase in the food tax refund, Aspen City Council unanimously agreed that they’d like to see it increase even more.
