Lame question

Dear Editor:The only thing lame about this week’s online poll (“How lame is Skico?”) is the Skico-bashing premise of your question. What gives? Spring fever got you down? We’re coming to the close of one of the most epic seasons in recent memory. We’ve got hands down the best skiing in the state, a green-leaning skiing company that is a leader in the field, great patrollers who keep us stocked in steep and deep, Highland Bowl (need I say more?), a fabulous kids’ school, free concerts downtown, and on and on.The Skico may be a well-funded, generous company, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have a bottom line they have to meet. Your poll does nothing but give folks a license to whine. Does The Aspen Times really think this community needs more of that? How ’bout we try some gratitude on for size instead – it goes a long way! Here’s to a great season.Lara WhitleyAspen
