Killing the patient with exhaust fumes
Dear Editor:For 30 years opponents of four lanes into Aspen have essentially asserted that the problem will be the solution – that somehow bad traffic congestion will get better because the driving experience will be so terrible that people won’t drive. After 30 years of deliberation the jury seems to be in – it didn’t work. Their “cure” is killing the patient. For those of us operating under the premise that traffic congestion is destroying our town and that eliminating it is a good thing for our community and quality of life, then something has to be done. Here’s to the optimists/realists asserting themselves and fixing our traffic problem with positive and creative solutions. I think the evidence is now overwhelming that the problem is not going to be the solution.Scott WriterAspen
