Keystone to open Friday " a week early

KEYSTONE, Colo. ” After two feet of snow this month and cold enough weather to make snow, Keystone has moved opening day up a week.

The intermediate Spring Dipper run, along with the Dercum Mountain beginner’s area, will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday. Keystone’s A51 terrain park also will open Friday.

The River Run Gondola, Summit Express chairlift, Montezuma Express and the Kokomo magic carpet will also be operating. To get off the mountain, skiers and snowboarders must download on the River Run Gondola or Summit Express chairlift.

An adult one-day lift tickets will cost $59.

Copper Mountain is also scheduled to open Friday.
