Kendra Alyce (Cole) Neves

The Aspen Times
Aspen, CO Colorado

Kendra lost her brave battle with cancer on Sept. 7.

She was born and raised in Newport Beach, Calif., and moved to Aspen in 1981 with her mother and stepdad, Karen and Marc Friedberg. Kendra graduated from Aspen High School in 1984.

Moving back to California, she graduated college and took residence in San Diego, where she met her husband, Paul. Their lives centered around their children, Alexandra Ella, 12, and William Cole, 10. Kendra was very involved in the kids sports and their school, St. Charles. The family had a tremendous circle of friends who were with her during her nine-month struggle. We will all miss but never forget her loyal, generous heart, great sense of humor and her zest for life.

She leaves behind her beloved family: Paul, Alex and Will; as well parents Karen Friedberg of Aspen; father Jerry Cole of Newport Beach; step-parents Marc and Peggy; and siblings Tamara, Kirsten, Melanie and Brian.

Services were held at St. Charles, Pt. Loma. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Inflammatory Breast Cancer FDN (eraseibc.com).
