Keeping them honest

Dear Editor:

What a lot of grumbling in the Roaring Fork School District! After years and years of an anemic and impotent school board, we finally have a team of concerned members who are actually doing their job.

Imagine, an elected board that is conducting a superintendent performance review! These board members should be applauded for their countless hours of work, their bravery and their determination. I commend their process, which appears to be painstakingly thorough.

Anyone who claims this is a witch hunt obviously prefers a dictatorship to a democracy. Please thank this new board for its attempt at implementing checks and balances.
