Keeping our future in mind

Dear Editor:I’m an Eagle County resident but work in downtown Aspen every day. And, yes, even though I’m in the real estate business, I’m asking Aspen voters to vote for Tim for mayor because I think he, like Dwayne Romero, has Aspen’s future in mind, and not their own personal business interests. I know both of these people personally, and I’m supporting the “character” you’ve already elected in Dwayne and is also represented by Tim. I’ve read others say that electing Tim could be to help support his position as a developer in this town. It seems pretty obvious to me that whoever is elected is going to be watched closely by both papers. And, wouldn’t it be pretty foolish for either remaining party to be elected mayor, only to then have their every business move scrutinized by the media? Tim is an intelligent man, not a foolish one, and I believe him to be a person wanting to improve Aspen in many areas. I’ve listened to his agenda on the issues, and I think Aspen will be a better place for having him represent Aspen as mayor.Greg HunterMissouri Heights
