Keep Shadow Mountain undeveloped

Thanks to your newspaper for beginning to educate the public about proposed development on Shadow Mountain.

Your article was very informative and support for “Friends of Shadow Mountain” has been outstanding. People from all over town, downvalley and out of town are interested in seeing this beautiful section of mountain preserved in its natural state.

Certainly, the scars currently visible above Ute Avenue where huge homes are being built into the mountain give everyone pause. Many have expressed disbelief that approval was granted, and it appears that no one wants to see the same thing happen on Shadow Mountain.

We have the charm of an untouched mountain landscape coming down to the edge of town with an historical railbed trail running near the base. Let’s make sure that we do everything possible to keep this area as open space.
