Keep O’Connor at the helm

Dear Editor:

I am writing this letter regarding the situation Chief Roderick O’Connor is entangled in with the town of Basalt.

Roderick and I became good friends when I worked for him at the Enclave Condominiums in Snowmass Village in the ’80s. We have remained friends for more than 30 years, and he is one of the few I call “brother.” I know him to be a man of integrity, honor, loyalty and courage.

So I ask the town of Basalt to have courage not to be held hostage by those wanting to bring this man down. Strive to find the truth here, and reinstate Roderick as chief of police.
