Dear Editor:

We always hear how the council wants to preserve the LOCAL feel to downtown Aspen. Then we get front page news on how they might not renew the lease on Bentley’s (“Bentley’s future on the rocks,” Jan. 31). Pretty dumb, huh. The city pretty much ruined any scene at Cooper Street Pier with the help of a now released police chief, let’s not ruin this one too. Sorry, but not all locals are into the Eric’s type of scene.
