Keep Basalt’s charm
I would like to express my thoughts regarding the new library.
I have recently relocated from Missouri Heights to Willits and fell an out-of-downtown location for the library would serve most of the residents of the valley.
After reviewing a proposal from Owen Minney to utilize the old Emma Store and home property as a regional library site, I am wondering why the board isn’t actively pursuing that site.
Please consider the Emma site and include it in any future polling of sites. I think most library users live out of the already crowded downtown core. Let’s keep Basalt’s small-town character.
