Keep America chuckling

Dear Editor:A national talk radio program mentioned The Aspen Times’ Letters to the Editor section today (Monday). Your vitriolic ranting was producing great laughter, according to the host, so I decided to go to your Web site to see for myself. Congratulations! You truly are hilarious with your defense of liberalism with the ideas it held 225 years ago. The mention that a lot of people voted against Bush is a “reminder” that presidential losers normally only get a couple of votes (?), and your four-year mantra of Bush stole the election has been supplanted with “our loser got a bunch of votes.” The notion that, since you have pointed out how evil your president is, he will be encouraged to remember that “he works for you.” It is Black Wednesday, with Bush spreading death nationwide and worldwide, and all have gone astray – except for you who have spotted Black Wednesday. America is a gorilla. And with all this good will, you demand that the president “reach out” to you.I do not question any longer that Aspen is one funny town, and at such a young age. Such logic indicates that most of you are still in your teens.Keep America chuckling. Larry VolkeningHouston, Texas
