Aspen, CO ColoradoKathryn L. “Kate” Sincovec, who was born in Aspen on June 5, 1916, died on Friday, Nov. 2, 2007, at the age of 91.Kathryn’s parents were Mary and Louis Zelnick. Kathryn worked in Aspen at the Midnight Mine as a cook and then at the Hotel Jerome as a waitress. In 1941, she moved to Pueblo and married Frank Sincovec. She was a longtime employee at Chuck’s Lunch in Pueblo. Her favorite activities were camping, fishing, gardening and playing cards.Kathryn is survived by her sons, Richard (Deanna) Sincovec of Lincoln, Neb.; James (Verna) Sincovec of Colorado Springs; four grandchildren, Mary Sincovec of Turkey; James Sincovec of Dallas; Richard Sincovec, of Colorado Springs; Elizabeth (Doug) Williams of Santa Rosa, Calif.; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Stanley; sisters Frances, Josephine and Lorraine; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.Cremation has taken place. Memorial services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 307 E. Mesa, in Pueblo.
