Kathleen Ryan Neal

El Jebel resident Kathleen (Kathy) Neal died July 31 in El Jebel. She was 52 years old.

Neal was born in San Jose, Calif., on Sept. 11, 1950. She was married to Steven Neal for 17 years.

Kathy was a resident of El Jebel for nine years and was a member of the St. Peters of the Valley Church in Basalt. She was a graduate of Castilla High School in Palo Alto, Calif., and San Jose State University.



She is survived by her husband; daughter Scotlyn, age 11; brother-in-law Daniel Neal and wife Barbara, of Morgan Hill, Calif.; Peter and Norma Brink of Auburn, Calif.; and Holden Brink of Galt, Calif.; and Bill and Jean Deem of Rancho Mirage, Calif.

A memorial service will be held at St. Peters of the Valley Church in Basalt on Saturday, Aug. 16, at 11 a.m.




In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Scotlyn Neal Scholarship fund in care of Jean Deem, 537 Midland Point Rd., Carbondale, CO 81623.
