Katharine, you are missed

Dear Editor:Sweet lady Katharine, I am so sad that you are gone from the town that you loved and worked so hard for.I am sad that your quiet and deep compassion for animals is not with us through you. I hope rich people stop sporting their god-awful fur coats – since this is offensive to your memory, Katharine.I am glad that you finally attained the state of spirit and its enlightenment by having passed out of a hurting body. I am glad that you have lived in Aspen along with your gentle, good husband, Bill. While you cloaked yourself of books, intellect and privacy, you had a powerful, bright spirit in you all along – all your friends knew this. The light you pass around is still shining on in the hearts of Aspen … you were (and are) a great soul. You are missed in a heart way, dear lady. But you are alive still.Ursula ShepherdCarbondale
