Julian Pearson Oxford passed away, on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009 at 8:43 p.m., much too soon at 68 years young.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Charlotte McCrite Oxford, and three sons, Brandon D.W. Oxford; Todd A.B. Oxford and wife, Kelly; and Justin A.R. Oxford and wife Megan; as well as grandson Aiden O. Oxford. He was the son of the late Jessie and Lucille Oxford of Jonesboro, Ga.; brother of Jean Bowdoin, Linda Burke, Al Oxford, and Mike Oxford. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and beloved cousins.

Julian was a graduate of Jonesboro Senior High School, a 4-year veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, and attended college at Marion Military Institute in Marion, Ala., where he was the recipient of the Marlin D. Moore Award. He married in December 1966 and his career was spent in automotive management, whereas anyone who dealt with Julian, knew what a wonderful and remarkable person he truly was.
