Joker or judge?

Dear Editor:

Who is this joker, I mean judge, Buss? Is he just some retired dude using our court system to make his political statement in ordering an illegal hunter to pay restitution to PETA (“Was PETA the right decision?” Oct. 17). PETA, that bastion of anthropomorphic buffoonery attended by well-meaning folks in need of a serious dose of reality? Why didn’t Judge Butt, I mean Buss, order restitution to the Schneegas Wildlife Foundation or some other like-minded group, where the funds would actually do some good for wildlife? What good has ever really come from PETA anyway?
