Johnson comes at a cost

Dear Editor:

Mayor Ireland is voting “yes” to get rid of IRV. I compliment him on his choice. Since this issue has cost the city so much time and money I only wish he had come to this conclusion a year ago.

What bothers me is the mayor’s choice for county of Jack Johnson, who considers IRV one of his “greatest accomplishments.” This, along with Burlingame, the Hotel Jerome fiasco and many other costly mistakes, allow me to question Jack Johnson’s judgment.

If he’s elected I ask what other “accomplishments” will cost us more. Litigation, disharmony and taxpayers’ money?
