Joan B. Troutman
Marble resident Joan B. Troutman died July 8, at Valley View Hospital. She was 72 years old.
Troutman was a homemaker and mother. She was born in Kirkland, Texas, on March 31, 1931, to Curtis D. Beard and Azalee Fleming Beard.
She married Raymond Troutman in 1949 in Vernon, Texas. They have been part-time residents since 1950 and lived in the area full time for the last 14 years.
She is survived by her husband Raymond; her son Kevin Troutman and grandson Casey Ray Troutman of Amarillo, Texas; and a brother Curtis (Patty) Beard of Plano, Texas.
Graveside services will be at Eastview Cemetery in Vernon, Texas, on July 18.
A funeral service at Marble Community Church will be on Monday, July 14, at 11 a.m., and will be preceded by visitation from 10:30 a.m.
The officiating clergy will be Pastor Linda Boylan.
The family suggests memorials be made to Marble Community Church in care of Shirley Thomson, 188 Redstone Blvd., Redstone, CO 81623.

Relay participants will honor ‘fallen heroes’ in Aspen walk on Tuesday
A group of relay participants will walk from downtown Aspen to Buttermilk Ski Area on Tuesday evening to complete one leg of a month-long, 3,900-mile journey across nearly 10 states for a “Carry the Load” event honoring fallen military personnel and first responders.
