Jimmy Charles Anderson died at Valley View Hospital on Monday, Dec. 5, 2005. He was 54 years old.He was born on Jan. 25, 1951, in Belleville, Kan., to Charles and Alice Kasl Anderson. He married Jeanette “Jaye” Mayfield in Salina, Kan., in 1970.Jimmy was a resident of the Roaring Fork Valley since 1981. He enjoyed big-game hunting, was an accomplished golfer, did wildlife oil paintings and loved to play the guitar, write music and sing. He was a member of the Kansas Bow Hunters Association, the Safari Club and Aspen Glen Golf Club.He is survived by his wife, Jaye Anderson of Glenwood Springs; parents, Charles and Alice Anderson of Rio Verde, Ariz.; children Jeffery (Robin) Anderson of Phoenix and Jeremy Anderson of Connecticut. He is also survived by sisters Judy (Craig) Biegler, of Orlando, Fla., and Sandra (Doug) Wilcox of Salina; brother Randy Anderson of Salina; grandchildren Isaiah and Morgan of Connecticut; and numerous nieces and nephews.Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, at the Mountain View Church of Glenwood Springs, 2195 CR 154. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Isaiah and Morgan Anderson College Fund, c/o American National Bank, 2624 Grand Ave., Glenwood Springs, CO 81601. Farnum-Holt Funeral Home in Glenwood Springs is handling the arrangements.
