Jim Casoff

Aspen, CO ColoradoJim Casoff was born on Dec. 24, 1946, and died peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007. He moved to Aspen 30 years ago and operated his own tree cutting and landscaping business for 30 years, and also worked at City Market in Aspen for the last 10 years.Jim passed away on his favorite holiday, Fat Tuesday. Jim was known to wear his beads all year long while working as a cashier at City Market in Aspen. Halloween was another of Jim’s favorites. He always had a great costume and usually won the prize for best dressed at City Market for Halloween.Jim was a quiet, gentle soul who will be sadly missed by all of his coworkers and customers. He had no known relatives, but he did have his City Market family.If anyone has any information about his family, please contact John Hailey at the Aspen City Market, 925-2590. Funeral arrangements have not been made yet, but will be announced shortly.
