On Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, Jill Anne Ball, born July 21, 1952, in Brooklyn, N.Y., passed away peacefully at her home in Longboat Key, Fla., after a year-long courageous fight with cancer.

Jill, a former resident of Aspen, will be remembered by many locals from the ’70s and ’80s. She taught at Aspen Country Day School, was a whitewater raft guide, worked at the Elks Club, and was involved in every community event. She was an Olympic div­er, an incredibly smart, fun-loving girl, a great outdoor-sports enthusiast and a super mom!

She is survived by son Robbie and hus­band Rob “XL” Ball. She will be greatly missed and forever loved by those whose lives she touched.
