Jesus is alive!
Dear Editor:
The message of Easter is still the same as it was some 2,000 Easters ago. Jesus Christ conquered death! He is risen! He sits at the right hand of the Father in heaven. He is also alive and residing in the hearts of all who believe in him!
“For God loved the world so much that he gave his only son, so that anyone who believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
God’s love poured out for us all through his son Jesus’ life, death, burial and resurrection. He washed away man’s sin with his holy cleansing blood. God’s only son became the sacrificial lamb. Slaughtered for the forgiveness of man’s sins.
“There’s no eternal doom awaiting those who trust him to save them. But those who don’t trust him have already been tried and condemned for not believing in the only son of God. Their sentence is based on this fact: That the light from heaven came into this world, but they loved darkness more than light for their deeds were evil.
“They hated heavenly light because they wanted to sin in darkness. They stayed away from that light for fear that their sins would be exposed and they would be punished. But those doing right come gladly to the light to let everyone see that they are doing what God wants them to.” (John 3:18-21)
Believe, ask to receive, and trust Jesus to be your savior and watch him come alive in you! Happy Easter.
