Jerry Seinfeld coming to Wheeler Opera House
The Wheeler Opera House has unveiled an exciting lineup for its 2025 season, including performances by legendary comedian Jerry Seinfeld.
The upcoming season features comedy, music, dance, theater, and family-friendly programming, with many highly anticipated performances and new additions to the calendar.
Wheeler Executive Director Michael Harrington announced the new lineup on Thursday.
“Our production team has been working diligently to make this lineup happen,” Harrington said.
A major highlight is the Aspen Laugh Festival 2025, running from March 11-15. It begins with a Valley Comedy Showcase in The Vault and concludes with two Seinfeld performances on March 15.
Comedic acts also include Becky Robinson, the Sklar Brothers, and Sofia Niño de Rivera, who will perform a Spanish-language set.
Musical performances include two special nights with John Oates, a return by bluegrass innovators Steep Canyon Rangers, a tribute to Tony Bennett by Michael Feinstein, and the globally-celebrated tabla virtuoso Zakir Hussain with his Masters of Percussion ensemble. Following its sold-out performances nationwide, families can look forward to “Dog Man: The Musical,” based on Dav Pilkey’s bestselling books.
“These next are our cultural partners,” said Harrington. “A lot of these are live presenters based here in Aspen. We are working on a couple of projects.”
DanceAspen presents “Ember Glow,” featuring world premieres inspired by the Wheeler Opera House’s history. Other standout events include pianist Conrad Tao and tap dancer Caleb Teicher’s “Counterpoint,” blending classical music and contemporary dance, and the mentalism and humor of Colin Cloud in “Mastermind.”
“This is a new dance company here in Aspen,” he said. “They will present the history here at the Wheeler.”
The season also introduces the Wheeler Insiders program, offering locals benefits like pre-sale access, discounts, and exclusive event invitations.
“We are launching, with a show of hands, live here in the valley. I am still learning the geography,” Harrington joked. “The biggest benefit, in my opinion, is that as a Wheeler insider you are the first to hear about our new programming and have the first opportunity to purchase tickets in the valley.”
Memberships are available in person at the Wheeler Opera House box office, located at 320 E. Hyman Ave., open noon to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. Tickets are currently on sale to Wheeler Insiders, with general public sales beginning 10 a.m., Dec. 2.
Harrington expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming season, stating, “The Wheeler Opera House is a jewel of the Aspen cultural community, and I’m excited to collaborate with our incredible team to bring world-class artists to this historic venue.”
Upcoming events include comedy from Tom Papa on Feb. 2 and a variety of acts like AJ Lee & Blue Summit, illusionist Leon Etienne, and Cirque Kalabanté. Additional performances are slated throughout the winter and spring, showcasing a mix of genres and experiences.
The Wheeler Opera House’s programming is supported by the City of Aspen Real Estate Transfer Tax. For tickets and more information, visit aspenshowtix.com or wheeleroperahouse.com.
