Jennifer Erikson

Jennifer Erikson passed away Feb. 1, 2010 in Phoenix, Ariz., surrounded by her family.

She was born Jennifer Oliver on Aug. 1, 1953, she grew up in Thousand Oaks and Santa Barbara, Calif.

Jennifer arrived in Aspen in 1976 following a heartthrob drummer from her favorite band. She worked at Crossroads Drugs, Holiday House, Butcher Block and for the Baar Family. She was a long time member of the Aspen Eagles Club No. 184 Ladies Auxiliary and was at one time their chaplain. She and Steve Erikson retired from the Aspen Skiing Co., married and lived in San Felipe, Mexico during the winter and in Palisade during the summer.

She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Oliver.

She is survived by her husband, Steve; mother Marjorie Oliver; brother Marc; sister-in-law Christine; niece Amelia, age 8; and nephew, Holden, age 6.

Her ashes will be scattered at a memorial held by her husband in San Felipe, Mexico in March or April. A local celebration of her life will be held in Aspen in the near future.

Jennifer’s gentle spirit and warm smile will be truly missed by her many friends and family.
