Jeers to bad drivers

Dear Editor:

Jeers to your cheers, and jeers to the column of July 19. Instead of jeers to cyclists who ride on the sidewalk (not to avoid traffic but to avoid death by construction vehicle), why not jeers to the many motorists who ignore stop signs and don’t use their turn signals? Surely they outnumber cyclists using sidewalks and pose a much greater danger.

Jeers also to the driver of the semi and his teacher, who tried to drive over Independence Pass. If they could not see the large signs warning of the restrictions, how will they see a little old lady on a bicycle on Main Street?
