Jeannilynn Chavez died Tuesday in Glenwood Springs.

Jeannilynn Chavez died at Valley View Hospital on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2005. She was 45 years old.

She was born in El Dorado, Ill., to George and Mary Ruth (Skelton) James on Feb. 4, 1960. She worked as a housekeeping supervisor in the resort industry in the area. She is survived by her husband, Geronimo Chavez, her son Geronimo Chavez Jr., her daughter Mariaelena Chavez, her brother Donnie James, her sister Beth (James) Casillas, and Jessie Chavez. She is also survived by six grandchildren.

Viewing will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at the Farnum-Holt Funeral Home Chapel at 405 W. Seventh St., in Glenwood Springs, followed by a rosary from 7 to 7:30 p.m. at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, 1885 Blake Ave. in Glenwood Springs. The funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 23, at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Rosebud Cemetery in Glenwood Springs. Farnum-Holt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
