Jazz Aspen seeks participants for Denver Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon

Jazz Aspen Snowmass, which has been accepted as an official charity for October’s Denver Rock ’n’ Roll Marathon and Half Marathon, is seeking participants to represent the nonprofit in the event.

The nonprofit has formed the Miles for Music team, which will assist in raising funds for JAS music-education and performance programming throughout the Roaring Fork Valley, according to a news release.

Participants on the team can select from running in the full marathon, half-marathon or relay race or competing in a 20-mile bike race. All racers will start at Civic Center Park and race through various sites in Denver including downtown, City Park and Zoo, Cheesman Park and more. The race is set for Oct. 20.

Participants on the Miles for Music team pay a $50 registration fee and commit to raising a minimum of $300. The top three fundraisers for Jazz Aspen will win seven-night stays at either the the Club on Barbados, Morgan Bay Beach Resort on St. Lucia or the Verandah Resort & Spa on Antigua, courtesy of Elite Island Resorts.

To register as a team member or for more information on the race, visit http://www.jazzaspensnowmass.org or call 970-920-4996.
