Jazz Aspen inks Skynyrd, Frey & Walsh

SNOWMASS VILLAGE – Jazz Aspen Snowmass has announced several additions to the lineup for the Labor Day Festival, to be held in September.Glenn Frey & Joe Walsh, led by two members of the Eagles, is set to headline on Saturday, Sept. 4. Lynyrd Skynyrd has been added as headliner for Sunday, Sept. 5, joining opening act the Black Crowes for a day of Southern rock. And two contemporary bands – Calexico and DeVotchKa – will be opening acts on Friday, Sept. 3, joining the previously announced headliner, Wilco.A surprise act, to open for Frey & Walsh, is still to be announced.The three-day festival is set for Snowmass Town Park, Sept. 4-6. Tickets for all three days go on sale Friday, June 18, at the Belly Up Aspen box office, online at jazzaspen.org, or by phone at 1-866-JAS-TIXX (527-8499). A three-day festival pass will be available for $175 through July 4 only.
