Jay Tyler Roth
Jay Tyler Roth, 56, died at Tidewell Hospice in Bradenton, Fla., on Monday, Nov. 20. He was born Nov. 1, 1950, in Hartford, Conn.
Roth moved to Aspen, where he lived for 18 years, before moving in 2004 to Sarasota, Fla. He was a Christian.
Roth taught junior golf in Aspen and also in the Sarasota area. He was a drywaller in both areas. He also worked as a landscaper at the Aspen Music Festival campus and was a past president of the Aspen Eagles.Survivors include his mother, Jeanne C. of Aspen, sister Andrea Roth-Moore of Vail, and brother Brad W. of Milford, Conn.
Memorial donations may be made to the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 184, 700 E. Bleeker St., Aspen, CO 81611 and to the Hospice Dept. of Valley View Hospital, P.O. Box 1970, Glenwood Springs, CO 81602.A memorial service will be held at the Aspen Chapel, 0077 Meadowood Drive in Aspen on Saturday, Dec. 30, at 4 p.m. Following will be a celebration of his life at the Aspen Eagles club No.184.
