Jane Grace Gaisford

Jane Grace Gaisford, 89, passed away July 10 in Carbondale. Jane was born Oct. 16, 1916, in Los Angeles to Harry and Nellie Anderson. She married William Nunn Gaisford on July 8, 1937, in Beverly Hills, Calif. Jane was deeply devoted to her husband and family. She has many dear friends both in Cashiers, N.C., and Los Angeles, and a lifetime of wonderful memories. Jane’s infectious smile will be missed by all who knew and loved her.Jane is survived by her husband, William Gaisford; her daughter, Susan Howe of Carbondale; son, Bill Gaisford of Cashiers; grandchildren, Jennifer Lamont and Stephanie Toppino of Carbondale; and great-grandchildren, Grace, Simone and Leah Lamont and Nickolas and Emme Toppino of Carbondale.Jane was preceded in death by her brothers, Harry, James and William Anderson.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association.A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 15, at the Carbondale Community United Methodist Church.Farnum-Holt Funeral Home, 405 W. Seventh St., Glenwood Springs, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
