Jam was a success

Dear Editor:It is with much joy and gratitude that we wish to thank the Roaring Fork Valley community, our teams of volunteers, the over 150 donors, sponsors, and individuals from Aspen to Glenwood, who contributed to our benefit, Jam for Jasper, on the evening of Feb. 21 at the Cantina. It was a tremendous success, far beyond what we imagined, and we are forever grateful to the Cantina, who gave us the use of their beautiful facilities. Thank you Darren and Troy and your terrific staff. We thank all of you who came out that night to support us, eat great food, have afew drinks and bid on silent auction items while listening to fantastic music, donated by over 35 musicians. Thanks also to GrassRoots TV for filming, to the tech crews, decorations teams and to Jared Gibson for his sensitive and thought-provoking film of Jasper.Jasper Lecht and his parents, Patty Lecht-Bluefield, David Bluefield and Eric Lecht are all very grateful to this beautiful outpouring of love, support, and financial help. Jasper continues in his fight against Ewing’s sarcoma every day, and so far some of the treatment has proven ineffectual against the spread of this horrible cancer. He is grateful for your continued prayers and thoughts. Jasper has not given up hope and displays much courage.Thank you, everyone!Kathy Gibson and Susannah CyrusCo-chairwomen, Jam for JasperAspen
