Jack Johnson unraveled
Dear Editor:
Shere Coleman quoted Jack Johnson’s slogan “knitting the community together” in her letter to the editor printed on Tuesday, July 20.
The quotation is highly ironic in that Jack Johnson, while serving on the Aspen City Council, almost single-handedly (with an assist to former Councilwoman Rachel Richards) unraveled the redevelopment of the Hotel Jerome by the Broadmoor group.
Knit one, pearl two, Jack! I’d much rather vote for the real Jack Johnson (i.e., the famed singer and musician from Oahu, Hawaii.), but I’ll gladly cast my vote for Rob Ittner anyway.
