It’s supply and demand at work

Dear Editor:

Perhaps I am naive, but aren’t the paparazzi just pursuing a supply and demand economic? (“Goldie Hawn: ‘Paparazzi have shooed us out,'” Jan. 3.) And doesn’t the supply and demand model determine price and quantity sold in the market? Again, perhaps I am naive, but I’ve always thought that if I were famous and pursued by these parasites, I would hire my own photographers and flood the market, thereby lowering the price. Parasites follow the food. Of course they would have to be not so flattering, but at least you would have control. Donate the money to charity and stroll at your leisure. I love anonymity, I could never be famous. … I would give it a try.
