It’s about the future
September 26, 2002
It’s about the future! It has nothing to do with small town or large town, charming town or ugly town.
It seems to be about some self-serving individuals who have stuck their heads in the sand so that they can pretend that their town has not changed, that continuing the ritual of the S-curves will somehow preserve the Aspen that they remember from the “old days.”
Those days are gone and the town has prospered and progressed and the transportation system has to progress with it. Get your heads out of the sand and visualize a new entrance into our town, one that is safer, better flowing for traffic, more adaptable for mass transit ideas, architecturally exciting and esthetically pleasing.
Use your energy in a positive way to create a new entrance we can all enjoy.
