It doesn’t fit
Dear Editor:
Re: The Aspen Museum aka Aspen version of the Tower of Babel. Have we gone mad? Once upon a time there used to be a lovely Victorian community that attracted the visitors from around the world. Now much of the new construction in town, such as the new buildings on Monarch heading toward Durant, remind me of a warehouse district. We have recently gathered a group of tasteless so-called artsy idiots who think we should build skyscrapers. Please vote against this ill-conceived idea. We don’t need nor should we want it here. Vote no!

Aspen City Council puts brakes on Old Powerhouse Preservation Project
With many lingering questions still surrounding the fate of Aspen’s historic Old Powerhouse, City Council decided during Monday’s work session to hold off on providing staff direction on moving the preservation project forward until more information can be presented.
