Is more really better?

Dear Editor:Why is it that our government is so stuck on “More Is Better?” Our Wagner Park restroom needs to be interactive with touch screen computers on the walls. Our outdoor warming hearths grow into a 10-foot homage to a War of the Worlds monster with an appetite for the natural gas being sucked out of Garfield County. Our Victorian-esqe information booth is replaced by a giant steel “plutonium transportation device.”Our Rio Grande hiking trail is “upgraded” into something closer to a superhighway than a trail. Now, they want to spend three quarters of a million dollars of our money to put a roof over recycling bins.Fortunately, the community actually has an opportunity to make it’s voice heard on this one.On Nov. 7, vote No on Referendum 2C.Walt MaddenAspen
