Irvin Grant Bair
Irvin Grant Bair passed away Thursday, June 21, 2007, in Glenwood Springs. He was 50.
Grant was born Jan. 21, 1957, to Jack and Laura (Gardner) Bair in Glenwood Springs, and was a lifelong resident of the area. Grant was a very proud grandfather; Sierra was the apple of his eye. He was a very skilled woodworker and loved his work. He loved living on the ranch of Carter and Louise Jackson. His passion for animals was obvious by his numerous pets. He was filled with pride for his sons who were following selected career paths as a district sales agent, and the other as a heavy equipment mechanic. He was also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Glenwood Springs.
Grant was preceded in death by a brother, Wade Bair. He was survived by his parents, Jack and Laura Bair; sons Justin Robert Bair and Daniel Wayne Bair; brothers Wendell Bair of Glenwood Springs, Woody Bair of Evanston, Wyo., and Larry Piffer of Grand Junction; sisters Janaye Williams, Janice Moore and Jean Schauster; ex-wife Patricia and a very large extended family.
Services were held Tuesday, June 26 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Glenwood Springs, with Bishop Darrell Warren officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests and appreciates memorial contributions made to the Grant Bair Memorial Fund at any Alpine Bank location.
