FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Interior Secretary Ken Salazar will be in Fort Collins Thursday for a forum on clean energy with state and federal officials.

Salazar will join Gov. Bill Ritter, Democratic congresswoman Betsy Markey and Nancy Sutley, chairwoman of the federal Council on Environmental Quality, for the meeting at Fossil Ridge High School.

The White House said Tuesday Salazar and Sutley will discuss President Barack Obama’s clean-energy policies and take questions.

Fossil Ridge was chosen because of its energy-conservation measures that won a “Green Building” certification from the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design program, or LEED.

Salazar was a senator from Colorado before Obama named him energy secretary this year.
