Institute holds wilderness first-aid course

CARBONDALE ” The Wilderness Medicine institute of the National Outdoor Leadership School will offer a two-day wilderness first aid course Monday and Tuesday, June 4-5, at Colorado Rocky Mountain School in Carbondale.
This hands-on, introductory course meets all standards for wilderness first aid training. Participants will learn to make sound medical decisions in remote settings, including dislocation reduction, focused spine assessment and epinephrine administration.
The cost is $175. Participants should register early, as there is a class-size limit. To register or for more information, contact Tom Penzel at CRMS at 963-2562 or tpenzel@crms.org.
