In Maurice we trust

Dear Editor:

Wow, some people are sure getting nervous about the election. We have a newcomer who actually has not been a part of the City Council or mayor’s seat before. Wouldn’t that be refreshing?

He could actually be objective about reviewing the budget and the city charter, which actually says who works for whom (anyone work for us residents?) and maybe even not allowing a project to bypass all city zoning regulations or mitigation – you know, different rules for you and different rules for us (like the art museum).

And wouldn’t it be great to actually work with the residents in the employee-housing neighborhoods so they can actually sell their homes when they are ready to step up without having a “secret” lawsuit about failed building materials like Burlingame and a few others?

Yes, we need a change. You actually might like it. Vote for Maurice Emmer.
