In a perfect world …

Dear Editor:What would happen if …1. The tobacco companies decided to plow their tobacco under and grow cotton.2. Each American citizen enjoyed profit sharing with our government, no exceptions.3. A census was taken of persons and resources to determine the sustainability of our country.4. We distribute population into smaller self-contained communities, out of harms way and linked by high-tech transportation. The property vacated by this transaction would be used to grow food.5. Any person expert in any field, regardless of the source of that expertise, would be licensed to teach that particular subject and any American citizen would be free to learn from them.6. Our prisons would become places of health, safety, quiet and beauty as well as education.Eloise IlgenCarbondale
