Impressive blacksmithery

Dear Editor:Last Friday, Oct. 6, CCAH, with a grant from Colorado Council of the Arts, hosted an exhibit honoring the blacksmiths of our valley. We are fortunate to have such an incredible group of talented blacksmiths in our midst, and the arts council has been anxious to pay tribute to them. With 18 artist/blacksmiths exhibiting their work, the show is truly amazing and the response of the public was equally amazing. On behalf of the board of the Carbondale Council on Arts and Humanities, I would like to thank the community for supporting this show and helping us to honor this wonderful group. It is through your support that CCAH is able to fulfill its mission of promoting and helping local artists. Membership is an important aspect of CCAH, for without membership, much of what we do would not be possible. If you haven’t seen the show, stop by the gallery at 645 Main St. You’re in for a treat. Our hours are 1 to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and our number is 963-1680. And, if you aren’t a member, please join us.Ro MeadDirectorCarbondale Council for Arts and Humanities
