Imagine America as a family

What would happen if as a nation we became a family? Do we know how many members we have and if we shared the profits from our forests, offshore drilling, and other national possessions how much each of us would receive?

This is how a truly caring family works, so let’s abolish all taxes and establish a 10 percent sales tax on everything sold without exception: churches, paper boys and girls, etc. All the monies collected would be sent to the IRS. Our local, state and federal governments would obtain their funding from the IRS for essential services.

If we “The People” don’t burn our forests, litter our highways, hurt each other or cause ourselves to be in jail or prison, etc., so that the IRS has a surplus, the overage would be returned, in identical, same, amounts to each citizen wherever they may be. We shall fund causes of our own choosing because the United States of America is our business and we citizens are the owners!!

As we sit at our large family table, it is unconscionable that some must, in shame, eat the crumbs that fall from it.
