If you build it, they won’t come

Dear Editor:

Just say no to the Crystal River Marketplace and be done with it.

During the time I was a property owner in Carbondale, there were town meetings about the marketplace that went on for years, during the Dan O’Connell days. Today, the economy is worse, and I don’t think it is realistic that people will be driving from Basalt or Glenwood Springs to Carbondale to eat a McDonald’s hamburger or buy a box of laundry detergent.
