I won!

Aspen Times writer

Dear Editor:”Vox populi” is the shortened form for the Latin expression “vox populi, vox Dei,” which means, “The voice of the people (is) the voice of God.”Now let’s wonder how many respondents to the Aspen Times Weekly “Vox Populi” will want to be associated with God almighty after reading this.As Julius Caesar said about Gaul, “Veni! Vidi! Vici!” which correctly should be translated as “I came! I saw! I won!” I know others will say “I conquered” instead of “I won,” but Anglo-Saxon consistency correctly demands “I won!”Emzy Veazy III, Esq.
